Just less than six weeks to go and we will celebrate the grand opening of our 81st STOP SHOP in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia. The new retail park will be our tenth STOP SHOP in Serbia, comprising 7,000 sqm gross letting area and offering the citizens of Sremska Mitrovica a well-balanced mix of 22 tenants, including well-known brands like New Yorker, CCC, LC Waikiki and Deichmann.
Sremska Mitrovica is a city situated 75 km west of Belgrade and 60 km south of Novi Sad with approximately 37,000 inhabitants and an overall catchment area consisting of around 163,000 people. Our new STOP SHOP is located in the west of the city offering access to one of the main roads, directly next to a Lidl Supermarket.
“As of now 95% of the retail space is signed and upon opening we will be fully let”, says Vladimir Perovic, the responsible Leasing Manager of the Serbian retail portfolio. By the way, all our latest openings of retail parks were fully let at the day of opening.
Currently, the road works of the parking area are in the final stage, as well as the ultimate fit out works inside the shopping units. Within the next weeks, the greenery will be installed, the yellow canopy finished and the pylon with the STOP SHOP logo be mounted.
“We are right on schedule. We have already started the hand-over procedure of the larger tenant units and will continue the handover of the remaining units in the course of the next weeks. So everything will be ready for the grand opening on the 22nd of August offering many attractions for the shoppers”, reports Miodrag Perovic, the project leader.
