On 24 October, IMMOFINANZ invited guests to the “Design Talks at Wienerberg”, which were held on the top floor of the new Holiday Inn Vienna South. The hotel forms part of IMMOFINANZ’s modernised hotel and office tower, a new eye-catching feature at Wienerberg alongside the two Twin Towers.
IMMOFINANZ CEO Oliver Schumy mentioned in his opening remarks that the real estate group has invested a significant amount – around EUR 80 million – in the location over the last few years. myhive at Wienerberg now provides the perfect combination for work-life balance for the tenants and the residents: state-of-the-art office towers, a shopping mall, an attractive hotel offering and numerous entertainment options, including the most modern cinema in Austria and a recreation area with a lot of green space directly outside the office door. Schumy also pointed out that IMMOFINANZ first introduced its international myhive office brand exactly three years ago. It has become a success story, which is reflected, for example, in the good feedback from tenants and the positive development of the occupancy rate.
Christian Kainz, Country Manager Operations for IMMOFINANZ in Austria, then spoke in detail about the cornerstones of myhive’s success: Hospitality, in the form of a hotel-inspired atmosphere, infrastructure, community-building and flexibility. He named numerous examples from the myhive location at Wienerberg, ranging from the friendly welcome desk to the tenant lounge, the modern bicycle storage room, the conference centre and the many events organised by the community manager for the tenants.
The architect Katharina Fröch, who contributed significantly towards the creation of the friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the myhive buildings, then spoke about her initial design considerations. For example, red lighting was installed, which produced a sound-absorbing effect in the office premises, while the colour and style provided a modern and fresh design. In closing, Egon Türmer from Holzbauer & Partner Architekten spoke about the architecture of the building and the various features of the new office and hotel tower. These include direct access to the mall. Türmer also showed some before and after images, which highlighted the state-of-the-art refurbishment.
Afterwards, at the Flying Dinner, the kitchen at the Holiday Inn Vienna South impressively demonstrated its skills.
