It is not even 90km from our Vienna headquarters to the two Polus Towers in Bratislava – but the short distance is not the only reason to take a closer look at the office property, for there is plenty happening there at the moment: IMMOFINANZ is currently investing around EUR 25 million in the refurbishment of the towers; the work is fully underway, as can also be seen in the pictures below.Polus Towers are very widely known on the market, after all, they were one of the very first Class A offices in Bratislava at the beginning of the new millennium. In view of the good location and importance of the entire Polus complex – besides the two office towers there is also the Polus City Center shopping centre – it is also important to continue maintaining the offices at a high standard. This is why we began optimising the building quality in the winter of 2014/15. Currently, everything is going according to plan and, on the basis of this, work is to be concluded in September of this year.
This will ensure that both functionality and design meet today's standards and tenant demands. This includes, on the one hand, the redesign of the public areas visible to everyone such as the entrance lobby and the cabins and lobbies for the lifts on all floors. On the other hand, a variety of technical improvements are also being undertaken such as equipping the lifts with a destination control system or replacing the chillers.
In short: the result will be modern offices that are "like new" with enhanced comfort, optimised functionality and perfect conditions for a good work-life balance (the Polus Towers are located in direct proximity to the popular recreation area on Lake Kuchajda). And the concept is a success – just recently we were able to announce new tenants from the insurance industry and automotive sector: for instance, Poisťovňa Slovenskej sporiteľne, a subsidiary of the Vienna Insurance Group, will lease over 1,000 sqm. Autoleasing SK, Audatex Slovakia and Concorde have also opted for our office Towers.
