STOP.SHOP. goes Serbia: first location opened in Cacak

The expansion of STOP.SHOP., the IMMOFINANZ brand for retail parks in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, continues: at the end of last week we celebrated the opening of the first STOP.SHOP. in Serbia – namely in Cacak – in the presence of Mayor Vojislav Ilic and IMMOFINANZ COO Dietmar Reindl. That day a varied support programme with highlights for adults and children provided a diverse range of entertainment. The six shops from DIS, C&A, Takko, Deichman, Đak and Lilly were stormed by hundreds of visitors. The media interest was just as significant: over 20 journalists (including national television) accepted the invitation and several times in the interviews wanted to know precisely why we chose Cacak as the first STOP.SHOP.-city in Serbia. Apart from the fact that of course our market analyses and calculations for the location were positive, we also responded to the question tongue-in-cheek, arguing that Cacak "is the centre of the universe". The background: in the centre of the city there is a work of art with the inscription "This is the centre of the universe" – our "argument" was therefore happily noted by the journalists.

The STOP.SHOP. is located in the southwest of Cacak in the middle of a residential quarter and has 6,300 sqm of lettable space as well as 190 parking spaces. The catchment area encompasses around 230,000 residents. With Cacak we have opened STOP.SHOP. number 53 in what is now the seventh country. At the same time, the opening signals the start of our continued expansion in Serbia: within the next three to four years we are planning as many as nine more STOP.SHOP.s in addition to this location.

Attached are a couple of pictures of the opening day.
