IMMOFINANZ expands its STOP SHOP brand in Serbia

IMMOFINANZ is constructing its third STOP SHOP in Serbia, located in Valjevo. The project marks the next step in the expansion of the fast-growing retail park chain in Serbia, after the opening of its first STOP SHOP in Čačak in April 2015 and the development of a second location in Niš, which will be opened in spring 2016. The construction of STOP SHOP in Valjevo started in November 2015, with completion and opening scheduled for spring 2016 as well.

The third STOP SHOP is situated in an inner city location in Valjevo, a city 100 km southwest of Belgrade. The location can be easily reached by car as well as public transportation and will have approx. 6,100 sqm of retail space and 170 parking spaces. With 58,000 inhabitants and an overall catchment area with a population of around 200,000 people, this retail park is expected to fulfil the needs of all residents in the surrounding area.

The flexible concept underlying the STOP SHOP brand is based on regional shopping centers in central locations with catchment areas of 30,000 to 200,000 residents. The retail parks usually have 2,500 sqm to 15,000 sqm of rentable space and offer visitors sufficient parking, optimal accessibility by public transportation and high functionality with an attractive mix of international and national tenants. The STOP SHOP portfolio of IMMOFINANZ currently covers 53 locations in seven countries (Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland and Serbia).
